HP Slate, the Windows 7-based tablet-PC from the California makers is not yet released. But as with any prominent piece of hardware, a YouTube’r has managed to nag an early hardware issue and has done a detailed rundown of the device.
The video gives a good overview of the hardware which runs a fully usable copy of Windows 7. The device boots up at a decent 30 seconds (as compared to iPad’s 15 seconds), and is fairly usable at the get go. The UI, however, looks to be too clunky and unoptimized for a small screen, touch-based device. The onscreen keyboard, for example, takes a large portion of the screen and fails to push any content above it to make a little intuitive.

There is no news on when HP Slate is, err, slated to release.
