New OS update introducing bug fixes and new features set to drop next week.
At yesterday’s event, Apple announced that it is pulling the iOS 4.1 out of beta and making it official.
The new OS update will introduce a plethora of bug fixes including those which relate to the proximity sensor and the iPhone 3G issues that has been reported many times by users. The update will also add in a few nifty features as well:
- HDR photo support: In layman terms, HDR photos are basically a mash up of several photos taken in succession at different exposure levels and combined using software to give images a more contrasted look, making it more artistic in it’s appeal.
- Game Center: It’s a new app that enables online multiplayer between friends and others. It will also have achievements, leaderboards and auto-match capabilities.
- HD Videos upload: Users will now be able to upload HD videos to YouTube over WiFi directly from the OS.
- TV Show rentals: Little is known but it’s much self-explanatory.
Apple said the iOS 4.1 update will be release sometime next week.
