The tablet will run both Android OS and Windows OS.
Since the ridiculous success of the iPad, every company has been picking their tools to make that one ‘iPad Killer’ that will shoot them to fame. Viewsonic is joining in the race as well and will be soon unveiling a tablet PC that is capable of dual-boot operating systems.
At the annual IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, Viewsonic plans to announce two tablet PCs. One of them is a 7-inch ViewPad 7, an Android-based device packing in all the basic communication needs like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It will also feature front and back cameras, and internal storage expandable via microSD.
The second device is still unnamed but will be capable of dual-booting Android OS as well as a Microsoft OS.
It’s an interesting approach towards the increasingly competitive tablet market. It remains to be seen how intuitive the whole process is going to be, and if consumers find any need for dual OSes.
