We might have to say farewell to our beloved Blackberry come October. Yes, life without instant push email and BBM won’t be the same if the service stops, but fear not as your friends at t-break have put together a list of five Mobile phones that can keep you going in case TRA pulls the plug on Blackberry.

iPhone 3GS

The iPhone 3GS is probably the hardest choice for a Blackberry owner considering the rivalry that has been going on between the two platforms in the region. Although a bitter pill to swallow for a Blackberry user, the iPhone is probably the best choice as a Smartphone for the average user. With its simple functionality yet an insanely large number of applications and the built-in iPod functionality, one thing is for certain- you’ll never get bored.

Applications like WhatsApp can somewhat replace BBM functionality while push email is built-in for many email accounts such as GMail and Yahoo. For the corporate types, Microsoft Exchange is supported with synchronization of Contacts, Calendar and Email.

Priced at AED 2,400 for a 16GB unit or AED 2,799 for a 32GB version.
