2010 Red Dot Award winner BenQ, the leading digital lifestyle provider, has introduced a range of new, eco-friendly LED monitors to the Middle East region. In keeping with its mandate to promote and develop ‘green’ technology BenQ’s stylish LED monitor range boast higher energy savings than traditional monitors, mercury-free engineering and a host of environmental certifications.

General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, Manish Bakshi, said: “With the launch of two new LED monitor ranges, the GL series as well as the V series, the world’s slimmest LED monitor, BenQ has reinforced its position as the world’s leading monitor brand. With both new ranges on offer in the Middle East, BenQ has delivered cutting-edge technology at an unparalleled cost-performance ratio.”

“Our focus on developing eco-friendly products means that consumers are able to benefit from energy savings of up to 70% on some models without having to compromise on quality, efficiency and value,” added Bakshi.

The recently introduced GL Series LED monitors have the highest dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) in the world, 12 Million:1. Ranging from 18.5”W to 22”W, the GL monitors are designed to blend effortlessly into every environment. The bubble pattern that appears in the decorative trim below the screen bezel is also cleverly used for the ventilation grille on the back plane. These new LED monitors are also fully Microsoft® Windows 7 certified, making them fully compatible with Windows 7 color systems.  The GL series uses energy efficient LED backlighting panels which means they consume up to 39.3% less power compared to traditional CCFL monitors.

The V Series LED displays lead the industry standard in terms of slimness and energy efficiency. The world’s slimmest LED monitors are just 14mm and 15mm wide. Similar to the GL series, the V series includes a host of advanced features such as Senseye Human Vision Technology – a proprietary image enhancement engine that mimics the human eye; Senseye® that enhances the colour, clarity and contrast of video contents and HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface).

Recognised by international design authorities with the iF 2010 award, the high- gloss, svelte form of the V series lends itself elegantly to any interior space.  The V Series aims to raise the bar for environmental efficiency in monitors with energy savings of up to 65.6%, environmental certifications including Energy STAR 5.0 and mercury-free engineering.

The two new award-winning LED monitor series – The GL Series comprising of GL2030, GL2030A, GL2030M, GL2030AM; and the V Series with the model line up of V920(18.5”W); V2220/V2220H (21.5”W); V2420/V2420H (24.0”W) - are now available in the Middle East.
