Motorola Follows Nokia, Takes a Dig at Apple

“You have a voice. And you deserve to be heard.”

Apple is finding itself in an embarrassing position as it battles iPhone 4 build issues and competitors ganging up to poke fun at their misery. First it was Nokia, who had its tongue firmly in its cheek as it displayed the different ways one can hold a Nokia device. Joining in the fun is Motorola with a DROID X advert that was published in yesterday’s New York Times.

At first the promo looks like any good, thought out advertisement showcasing the many features of the handset. And while it looked like it will wrap in a predicted fashion, Motorola dropped this little gem in the end:

“And most importantly, it comes with a double antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls. You have a voice. And you deserve to be heard.

That’s almost a double-meaning jibe at the iDevices makers, if you read between the lines. Check out the full advert below (thanks, BGR):
