Press release:
Etisalat today announced exciting benefits for Wasel prepaid customers who wish to shift to post-paid GSM. During this limited period offer, customers with ‘Wasel’ prepaid accounts can now easily shift to the post-paid GSM service, free of charge, while retaining their SIM cards and their numbers. Additionally, Etisalat also announced exciting incentives like a total of AED 240 free credit (AED 20 per month) for 12 months.

Besides the free monthly credit, customers can also benefit from additional monthly discounts for staying connected through local and international calls on Etisalat’s widest mobile network covering 99% of the country. Under the FCP, calling the same destinations get charged as low as 89 fils per minute (between 2pm-4pm and 9pm-7am).

Khalifa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Etisalat, said: “We decided to launch this offer in response to our customer’s demands and preference to upgrade to Etisalat’s  postpaid GSM mobile service. The offer enables Wasel prepaid customers to not only migrate to post paid while retaining their existing mobile numbers, but also provides them with maximum value in terms of free credit and additional discount options available to them.”

Customers can conveniently migrate their Wasel prepaid numbers to post-paid GSM by calling Etisalat customer service on 101 or visit their nearest Etisalat Business Centre and they will be immediately migrated to the post-paid service.

They can then check  their extra credit by simply dialling *121*8#.
