Motorola and Verizon will be announcing the ‘next generation Droid’ in a couple of days (23rd June) but what’s that have to do with early leaks? Folks at Android and Me had the opportunity to play around with Droid 2, and teamed up with it’s elder brother in a 5min comparison video, which is now embedded below.
The website says that they didn’t find too much deviation from Motorola, describing the two handsets as “virtually identical”. The major physical change comes with the replacement of the previous keyboard’s navigation pad with arrow buttons; front end’s soft buttons have also changed to Moto Blur options. The hands-on report also mentions that under the hood, the Droid 2 is powered by a new 1GHz TI OMAP 3630 processor and 512 of RAM (the PowerVR SGX530 graphics unit seems to the same).
