Twitter App Now on Android 2.1

Twitter officially launches its client app for Android based phones.

All that Android lacked (among other things, of course) was a serious, fully functional Twitter application. The official Twitter for Android app looks to fill that longing void as its is now available for download. The app is fitted with pretty much all of the features, such as full support for widgets, viewing user tweets from the Quick Contact Bar and uploading images and videos straight from the Gallery. The only drawbacks are that it requires Android 2.1 or higher and lacks support for multiple Twitter accounts. But that should get sorted in the future updates.
