Is Android going to get 3D environment?

It is being reported that Google has acquired BumpTop, a multitouch 3D interface for the desktop computers. According to the reports, Google might thinking of a Android makeover, possibly even making a 3D environment utilizing BumpTop’s IP. Here is a video of what the BumpTop is capable of:

BumpTop had raised about $1.65 million in funding in 2007 and the rumored selling price is said to be $35-$40 million.
