We only wish we had videos of screaming adolescents.

It was reported yesterday that Steve Jobs paid a visit to his local Palo Alto Apple store and chatted up with customers in queue for Apple’s latest device, the iPad.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the Palo Alto Apple store

In Palo Alto, Apple CEO Steve Jobs sauntered unannounced into the University Avenue store shortly before noon to drink in the scene. Many in the crowd pulled out cameras and iPhones to capture the most magic of Silicon Valley moments. Jobs chatted with a handful of other shoppers, but even his 30-minute invasion did not get in the way of their serious business — the buying of and playing with new iPads.

Unsurprising. With analysts like Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster predicting sales upto 700, 000 for the iPad Wi-Fi on the opening day itself, we would get a little quirky in our legs too.
