Looking for some protection for your iPhone? This would do it.
We take a quick look at the Speck PixelSkin cover for the iPhone today. The following is the official description for it Speck’s website: PixelSkin’s lightweight, form-fit design helps protect your iPhone from bumps and scrapes, while the textured tile pattern provides a comfortable, tactile sensation in your hand and a no-slip grip. The case offers openings to all ports, controls and sensors for convenient accessibility.
We can confirm that the skin is very light and fits quite nicely on an iPhone. I tried on my original 4GB iPhone that is in possession of my four year daughter now and the thick textured tile pattern has already prevented a scratch or two from the very buttery fingers of my daughter.
There are cut-outs in the skin at all the right places such as the volume keys, the headphone jack, the camera on the back and the charger at the bottom. While you can easily connect the iPod USB cable to the device, don’t expect it to fit many of the docking stations for charging or listening to music with as it increases the thickness.
The skin in available in five colors- black, green, pink, purple and blue. We recieved the green colored version which isn’t one that I’d pick but then again, I cant really see myself with any skins/covers for my Smartphones. Its a good idea to have one if you are clumsy or rough with your device but at a price of AED 95, I think you can find cheaper alternatives that will serve the purpose.
