The GT660 gaming laptop comes packed with an i7 Quad Core processor, nVida GTX 285, LED display and “world class sound system”.

Press release:
The GT660, the king of MSI’s G Series gaming notebooks, boasts the ultimate in performance and sound. Built in collaboration with one of the world’s top sound system manufacturers, the GT660 made its debut at CeBIT 2010. The MSi G-Series is already available in KSA and Kuwait and rolling out across the Middle East over the next few months (MSi laptops carry a Warranty of 2 years).

Drawing on a wealth of sophisticated technology and designed specifically with the needs of gamers in mind, MSl’s G Series of laptops has evolved to new levels in 2010. At this year’s CeBIT Computer Exhibition, MSI showed new members of the G Series—GX640, GX740, GT640, GT740, GE600, and GE700, all equipped with Intel’s latest core processor and top end discrete graphics cards. The GT660, also unveiled at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, was built in collaboration with one of the world’s top names in sound systems to give it the best sound in gaming notebooks.

MSI Marketing Director Sam Chern explains that MSI’s all new G Series of gaming notebooks are equipped with Intel’s Arrandale notebook platform, powerful Intel core processors, and top end discrete graphics cards. System performance and 3D image processing capabilities have been vastly enhanced and these laptops come with SRS Premium Sound™ for superior audio and video. What’s more, MSI worked with one of the world’s top sound system manufacturers in the forging of the GT660 to maximize your experience whether you’re watching a movie on your sofa or battling orcs in a dungeon.

King of gaming notebooks—the GT660
The GT660, the king of gaming laptops and MSI’s pioneering achievement for 2010, stole the spotlight when it was unveiled at this year’s CeBIT.
All new look: The GT660 is the next step in the MSI G Series of gaming notebooks. The glowing white characters “MSI” in the center of the cover, black diamond shape, and fire engine red trim underscore the GT660’s minimalist elegance. The stylish rhombic pattern below the keyboard and the high tech brush finish on the touchpad add texture. The body is sheathed in MSI’s own rich, glossy color film print to protect the GT660 from scratching and wear to keep your machine looking nice.

World class sound: In addition to the elegant exterior, the GT660 boasts world class sound. To meet your need for high fidelity, MSI worked closely with a leader in sound system design, raising the bar in notebook sound systems. They completely overhauled the speaker circuits and housing structures traditionally found in laptops to give the GT660 crisper, more faithful sound.

Even more exciting, the GT660 is equipped with LED light display technology, so whether you’re listening to music, watching a film, or engrossed in a video game, the LED light display technology helps maximize your experience.

Powerful hardware: The GT660 comes with powerful hardware, including the Intel Core i7 Quad Processor with nVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 285M (1 GB GDDR3 display memory) and top end discrete graphics cards for clear, smooth, true to life, real time 3D game images coupled with a world-class sound system to amplify your enjoyment, whether you are gaming, listening to music, or watching a movie.
Powerful notebooks take giant leap forward

All new Intel® Core™ Processor: The GX640, GX740, GE600, and GE700, the newest members of the MSI G Series gaming notebooks family, come equipped with Intel’s latest Arrandale notebook platform, Intel’s Core Processor, and top end ATI Radeon HD discrete graphics cards (1GB display memory). They also boast SRS Premium Sound™ to augment your experience and gamer keyboards so everything is readily accessible in the heat of battle.

Top of the line discrete graphics cards: The MSI GT640 and GT740 incorporate the world’s most powerful hardware and software configuration with Intel Core i7, Intel® Hyper-Threading technology, and Turbo boost technology, giving the quad core processors superior data processing efficiency. Coupled with the smooth, efficient, user friendly Windows 7 operating system interface and the powerful image processing capabilities of the nVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M 3D discrete graphics cards, the GT640 and GT740 are fast and powerful—ideal weapons for the serious gamer.

Superior expandability and multimedia entertainment applications
USB 3.0 and dual hard disk architecture: The MSI GT660 is equipped with the most advanced interconnect and the best expandability available. The GT660 also comes with the USB 3.0 which transfers 4.8 gigabits per second—10 times faster than the USB 2.0. It has three DDR3 SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 12 GB of memory or you can connect two SATA hard drives with over 1TB. Now, notebooks have the expandability of their desktop cousins.

Gamer keyboard design: In addition, the GT660, GT740, GT640, GX640, GX740, and GE700 carry on the MSI G Series’ fine tradition of keyboards designed with the gamer in mind. Features include an independent number keypad, W, A, S, D keys with eye-catching red arrows emblazoned on them for up, down, left, right, and a luminescent shortcut button strip above the keyboard. Everything is readily accessible, so the gamer can reach it quickly in the pitch of battle.
