Also releases new v4.5 firmware for its music player.

Following last week’s leak on the Zune HD website, Microsoft today has officially called the wraps off the Zune HD 64GB and has made the new version available for order via Zuneoriginals (doesn’t work in the UAE, of course).

The new Zune HD 64GB version is priced at $350, $50 less than an iPod Touch. Prices for the 16GB and the 32GB have also been slashed to $200 and $270 respectively.

Microsoft also released v4.5 firmware update for the Zune this week. The new firmware update brings Smart DJ application and XviD support, among other things. You can read the full list of changes right here.

Note: The Zune HD 64GB does not come pre-loaded with the new v4.5 firmware, so be sure to update your device when you get it!
