New motion sensing controller to be bundled with HP Pavilion Desktops.

Okay, here is a bit of news no one saw coming. HP announced that it will be packing its new motion sensing controller called HP Swing with every HP Pavilion Desktop PCs in India.

The kidney-like motion sensing controller is being touted as a chance for gamers to play motion games on their PC, a ‘first’ they claim. HP Swing will come bundled with games like tennis, bowling, baseball, pool and more, and will probably function like a Wii Remote although HP claims it as an ‘exclusive’ technology.

“HP has been the pioneer in ushering the latest in technology and digital entertainment. Driven by the goal of bringing innovation back to the desktop, we are excited to offer HP Swing, an innovative gaming experience to our consumers; gamers, children and families, who can now enjoy unsurpassed dynamic gaming interactivity,” said Vinay Awasthi, Director (DTO), HP PSG India.

“With this launch, HP extends its presence into the new-age gaming market. The HP Swing all-in-one package enlivens real life gaming in the comfort of your house. Our aim at HP is to digitally delight everyone this season with our exceptional gaming console that promises unbridled thrill and excitement.”

The HP Swing will be available only with the Pavilion Desktops at a starting price of Rs 29,990 (approx 2,500 Dhs). It remains to be seen if Swing is released outside of India (unlikely, though), not that we await it or something…
