Launched during Gitex 2009, Etisalat’s Yellow Pages application allows iPhone users in the UAE to quickly find the business that they require as well as call, email and browse company listings, from the palm of their hands.

The software is available free of charge from the iTunes store and has been specifically developed for the iPhone and has been populated with extensive information on local businesses. It features functionality such as maps, extended business listings and ‘History’ search. Users can also share listings with others via SMS or email plus their favourite or most useful listings can be saved for future use.

Commenting on the popularity of the service since its launch, Rashid Al Naqbi, General Manager, Etisalat Directory Services, said: “We have had an overwhelming response from our customers to the Etisalat Yellow Pages iPhone app, with over 10,000 downloads so far. It remained one of the most favored applications following the weeks of its upload to the iTunes store, further demonstrating its popularity.”
