Acer AspireRevo Review

“There’s something to be said about a “desktop PC” small enough to fit in a drawer, yet brawny enough to power a whole entertainment system. Acer’s AspireRevo R3610 nettop PC fits just that role. Hovering around $400 certainly doesn’t hurt its cause, either, except the price may be too good to be true if you’re looking to make this your primary PC.”

Philips Wake-Up Light Review

“Philips has always been known for creating products that are considered either innovative or just down-right wacky. So we weren’t surprised when we received the oddly shaped Philips Wake-Up Light for review. Marketed as an iPod dock that doubles as an alarm clock, the Philips Wake-Up Light’s claim to fame is the attached lamp, which brightens when the alarm goes off so you can gradually wake up to soothing sounds and a nice calm light, rather than the abrupt interruption of a repeating buzzer. Priced at $199, this is one alarm clock that stands out from the rest. If you do not need the dock, you can buy the Philips Wake-Up Light as a standalone unit for $30 less.”

Mionix Naos 5000 Mouse Review

Here is a snippet:
“Let’s get right to the point: what a fantastic mouse this Mionix Naos 5000 is. Aside for some minor gripes that you’ll see in our review, the mouse has gone far above and beyond the call of duty and, after a series of models we’ve tested so far here in Hardware Secrets, it became our number one choice of gaming peripheral. Let us see its physical characteristics before going to the testing. By the way, the name Naos comes from the brightest star in the Milky Way, Naos Zeta Puppis, which is about one thousand light-years away from us and the competing mice as well.”

You’re looking for a new computer – what’s your best bet? Naturally our advice when building a new computer rig is to build your own allowing full customisation of every component not to mention being able to purchase parts separately in order to get the best possible deal. However, building a full system requires a fair amount of time: planning the spec, buying components and finally putting the whole thing together.
OverclockersUK has long since been a highly respected name in the online computer market selling all manner of components, peripherals and full systems. Today’s review focuses on one of their most popular gaming rigs: the Titan Goliath.
Starting at £854.99, the OverclockersUK Titan Goliath features an array of customisation with numerous different graphics cards, hard drives & SSDs, cases and operating systems to be added for a performance boost. Described as the “pinnacle of performance”, the Goliath certainly looks good on paper but how will it compete against rivalling systems? Let’s take a look…”

Coolink Corator DS Gapless Direct Touch CPU Cooler Review

Quote:
“Back in January Coolink released its newest CPU cooler called the Corator DS, and they sent us one to test. Coolink is known for inexpensive coolers that perform, and in times like now inexpensive is good. This time around Coolink is bringing new technology to the market with their cooler: Gapless Direct Touch. Just like the name suggests, the base of the Corator DS is Heatpipe Direct Touch (HDT) design instead of the normal gaps between the round pipes. Also, the base of the HDT design is copper fitted, so that fills the space between the heatpipes. It allows the base to perform as an HDT cooler and also has the benefits of a solid base with no gaps. What also makes this interesting is that Coolink is using the Noctua SecuFirm2 mounting system…”

Quote: The BlackArmor PS110 500GB drive is Seagate’s first entry into the new world of USB 3.0 hard drives. And considering that it may be the typical consumers first USB 3.0 product, they have put together a great bundle to make the transition as easy as possible. The next iteration of the Dubai Twestival will take place on March 25 at the Intercontinental Hotel. This is the third Twestival and it is as the previous ones all in the name of charity.
The first Twestival of 2010 is arranged to the benefit of Concern Worldwide, a “international humanitarian organization dedicated to reducing suffering and ending extreme poverty.” Twestival is all about “social media for social good.” It’s local events arranged through the power of Twitter and they’re globally coordinated to take place on the same date around the globe. The Twestivals in 2009 in Dubai were great events to get together with friends, have some fun and pitch in a bit to a charity.
Registration is now open for the Twestival.
You can find more information on the Dubai Twestival web site, also keep an eye on their Twitter feed.
