Last week, Google officially showed their upcoming Chrome OS at a press event in the US. The OS is supposed to be extremely light-weight and to start off, is targeted towards the Netbook segment. The OS will hopefully launch in a year’s time and there will certainly be quite a few hardware manufacturers that will come up with new models with Chrome pre-installed. If you really, really want to try out the OS, you can download a version right now that can run as a Virtual Machine. Otherwise, just watch this short video to see how it works.
