SANYO Gulf FZE announced today at a press conference the launch of its limited edition Gold Dual camera – Xacti VPC-CG10 – that is specifically targeted at the Arab community in the GCC region. The final addition to SANYO’s highly successful Dual camera range, the Gold model seeks to capitalise on the Arab world’s fascination with gold and is also positioned as a product that can make a bold fashion statement. Accordingly the camera comes with a Swarovski crystal – studded pouch. The press conference was held on the sidelines of SANYO’s participation at GITEX Technology Week 2009.
Speaking at the press conference Mr.Takashi Hirao, said, “We believe that this is the first camera that exclusively targets the Arab community, which speaks volumes about SANYO’s focus on the Arab world and our commitment to continuously offer high quality, cutting edge and eco-friendly products to cater to ever growing consumer needs and demands matching with Industry trend.
“We are confident that Arab consumers will appreciate SANYO’s efforts to introduce a product that specifically targets them, incorporating key design elements to match their preference. Moreover, we expect this Gold model to transform a traditional movie camera image to style Icon among fashion savvy consumers in the region,” he added.
The Gold Dual camera, which boasts a stylish, sleek, upright design, records high definition video (720p, 30fps), and up to 10 megapixel digital photos with 5X optical zoom. Videos, still photos and the various settings / menus can be easily accessed with the user’s thumb. The camera has a 3-inch widescreen LCD and is equipped with a digital image stabiliser, face chaser technology and high-speed sequential shooting.
Ergonomically designed to give users maximum comfort, the CG10 Gold provides a zooming range of F=38 – 190mm (35mm equivalent). Combined with the 12X digital zoom, the CG10 offers a total zooming range of 60x. Also, SANYO’s three-dimensional noise reduction (3D-DNR) technologies offer a significant improvement in video clarity by reducing random signal noise. Using a proprietary SANYO algorithm, the CG10 Gold automatically compensates for distracting up-and-down or side-to-side camera movement, keeping the subject steady and easy to follow. It accurately distinguishes between unintentional camera shake and deliberate camera movement. This handy feature operates in both wide-angle and telephoto modes.
SANYO’s GITEX 2009 showcase also includes among other products, its latest range of High end projectors classified as ‘Large Venue’ and ‘Education’ market projectors. The ‘Large Venue’ projectors – PLC-XM150/150L, PLC-XM100/100L, with brightness of 6000 & 5000 lumens respectively which is highest in its class with XGA resolution incorporated with new optical engine using organic liquid crystal panel to enhance the life of the machine to two folds, this model also has active maintenance filter system and corner keystone correction functions.
PLC-XF1000 are categorised by high image quality, real and rich colour production, high resolution with 12,000 lumens brightness with an active maintenance filter and mechanical shutter system are at display to attract audio visual integrators.
On the other hand, SANYO’s projectors targeting the ‘Education’ segment – PLC-XW300, PLC-XW250, PLC-XW200, PLC-XL51A, PLC-XL50A and PLC-WXL46 – features the ultra short throw technology and is extremely easy to use.
