Today, we take a look at the ECS P55H-A motherboard based on the Intel P55 chipset which is the successor to the P45 chipset. The “P” chipsets are geared towards the performance user who wants a decent level of performance and tweaks without paying through the roof for a quality chipset.
Features
The motherboard uses the new LGA 1156 type socket for use with Intel’s recently launched Lynnfield line of processors. It also supports Intel’s “Hyper-Threading” technology which “tricks” the operating system into thinking it has two processors to utilize instead of one. This enables it to run two threads in parallel, both on separate “logical” processors within a single processor.
Specifications
CPU Support: Intel Lynnfield processor in the LGA 1156 Package
Base clock : 133MHz
Chipset: P55 Chipset
Memory Support: Supports DDR3 1333/1066 DDR3 SDRAM with Dual-channel architecture.
Audio: 7.1 + 2 channel High Definition Audio Codec
LAN: Integrated 10/100/1000 transceiver

ECS packed the contents inside a standard black box with an intricate image of a dragon vs human on the front.
