Dont get your hopes up as we have not even  seen the first one, Pre, in the Middle East yet although rumours suggest that it might be making an appearance around Gitex. Coming back to the Pixi, its a lower priced version of the Pre with a fixed non-sliding keyboard, a smaller 2.6 inch screen and no Wi-Fi. You still get 3G and 8GB built-in though.

What is different about the iPhone is that it has kept its form-factor identical through all its iterations which makes applications developed for one version work nicely in all others. Palm, like almost all other manufacturers is releasing different versions with different screen sizes and layouts which, to an extend, affects how applications look and behave.

Still, I would love to try out the Pre or the Pixi and the WebOS. From what I’ve read and seen (videos), it looks like a worth competitor to the iPhone and Android. C’mon Palm- hurry up and bring it to the Middle East.
