NETGEAR, a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking and storage products, has launched ReadyNAS 3200, a 12-bay high-density network storage system for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the UAE. The easy-to-use system offers high-end features such as redundant power supplies and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports at an SMB price point, enabling growing businesses to securely share, store and protect business-critical network data.

With support of up to 24 TB of capacity, making it ideal for online server consolidation or backup, the ReadyNAS 3200 solves common SMB storage problems in the most efficient manner. Equipped with reliable, automatic data protection with offsite options, the solution also offers server virtualisation, file sharing, disk-based backup and building first-time iSCSI SANs. Furthermore, ReadyNAS’ unified architecture solves numerous data management problems with a single system, thereby allowing users to eliminate common data concerns such as unstoppable growth, cross-platform access, back-up and restore windows, and disaster recovery, while revolutionising the storage environment.

“The demands of today’s business often drives small and medium businesses to adopt enterprise-scale solutions, although they lack the resources required to support the complexity of such enterprise-grade storage systems,” said Ahmad Zeidan, Channel Sales Manager, NETGEAR Middle East. “Our ReadyNAS line, which has grown even stronger with the unveiling of ReadyNAS 3200, offers a unique combination of simplicity and flexibility with the protective redundancy and high-performance feature set typically found on more expensive models. We are confident that SMBs in the UAE, seeking an affordable solution will find this new addition a strategic and efficient solution for their ever-expanding storage needs.”

The product comes equipped with 6TB, 12TB or 24TB of storage. In addition to its capacity to provide support for file services (NAS) and application services (iSCSI) for Windows®, UNIX®/Linux and Mac systems, ReadyNAS systems come with full 24/7 technical support and an industry-leading five-year warranty, thereby ensuring unhindered operation of the equipment. NETGEAR leverages its expertise in developing a wide selection of products grouped under the Ethernet networking, broadband and wireless networking segments, comprising of switches, adapters, wired and wireless routers and gateways, which allows it to offer affordable, easy-to-install security and software products that merge reliability with high performance.

“We are currently in the process of augmenting our line of storage solutions by merging the high-end features of more expensive rack-mount products with the level of flexibility, consumer-friendliness and price that is required by the SMB sector. We are confident that our strong position as the leader in the SMB storage market, along with the strong features and capabilities of ReadyNAS 3200 will catapult this new product to success among the target market,” concluded Zeidan.
