Golden Systems Middle East (GSME), the leading distributor of IT products in the Middle East, today announced that it has relocated its regional headquarters and operational facilities to its new state-of-the-art office in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) to aid its ongoing expansion in the region. The new office building measuring 7,000 square metres on three floors, houses its head office, service center, production line and a huge warehouse, which will promote efficient operations of the company. The company has also added recreational facilities such as prayer rooms, gymnasiums and indoor games for its employees.
“Following our recent restructuring and expansion, we needed a state-of-the-art office to match our growth plans, enhance our distribution business in the Middle East and Africa and allow us to scale up our operations. Jafza, with it world-class infrastructure and facilities, was a perfect location to open our regional headquarters,” says Mr. Ali Sharifi, CEO of Golden Systems. “Our new office will aid our plans to consolidate our business, streamline our operations, increase our support capabilities, strengthen our partner network and help enhance our team’s skills with regular training programs and workshops. It will also act as a central point for all our regional activities. We have built a facility where our partners can potentially hold conferences or training sessions for our reseller network and employees.”
Golden Systems has built a strong network of channel partners and resellers across the Middle East and Africa. The company boasts of a strong portfolio of best-in-class products from leading global vendors such as Logitech, Leadtek, Gigabyte Technology, Kaspersky, Kingmax, nVidia and AMD to name a few.
As part of its customer and partner-focused strategy, GSME restructured its business units in mid-2008 and focused on tapping new market segments, expanding its sales channels and developing new products and services. The distributor has been dedicated to providing solid local support to its partners and the new office in Jebel Ali Free Zone, featuring the latest technologies and best-in-class facilities, is a testimony of their commitment. When designing the new office building, GSME had considered many things. They designed hi-tech conference rooms, meeting rooms to service their customers and partners and factored in a temporary office which their partners could use when they visit the region.
The GSME management did not forget the employees when designing the office either. Moazam Gazi, Chief Administrative Officer at Golden Systems explains, “We would like to thank our staff for the company’s growth and success so far and for being the foundation of our organization. To succeed, a company must nurture talent, inspire creativity and create a work environment where employees can grow and thrive. GSME is committed to the well-being and success of our employees and hence we built recreational places, prayer rooms, game rooms and a gymnasium in our new office building to create a stimulating environment and support them in developing a healthy and creative lifestyle.”
“Although a few IT companies have integrated this concept in the workplace in the US, I have not seen any such integration in the Middle East. It is not rare to see a yoga class and leadership training scheduled on the same day at our facility. The idea is to allow people to have an outlet while they are at work. I hope other companies adopt this concept, it really works,”Gazi concluded on a high note.
