Asus Axe Square

We take a look at a premium heatsink from Asus , the Axe Square. It comes complete with luxury packaging, a gold-aureate finish and a silent 120mm fan that Asus claims to produce only 16 dBA of noise. We’re going to stress the Axe Square out by mounting it onto the socket 1366.

The Package

The box is encased in a simple black slipcase with lots of gold splashed all over, including the Asus logo and a picture of the heatsink.

Once the slipcase is removed, you are treated to a simple box featuring a crocodile skin texture. Classy!

Removing the cover unveils the heatsink and a small box.

The small box contains the AMD and LGA 775 brackets, four screws for the LGA 775 bracket, thermal paste, an instruction manual and an Asus Axe Square identification card.
