Although not perfect, the Epox 8K5A2+ is an excellent board. We wish Epox had taken a little more time into the layout of the board, but hey, the 8K5A is a series and maybe someone at Epox is reading. The performance of the board is superb- it's the fastest we've tested for the AMD platform along with providing excellent overclocking and super stability. Epox bundles the board with all the hardware you'll need and it comes at a great price.
Layout
The layout of the 8K5A2+ proved to be a bit of a disappoinment. Considering that Epox has transformed itself into an "overclocking" company, we feel that a couple of things should have been changed like the location of the main power connector.

Hardware Features
Epox does a very good job with loading the 8K5A2+ with hardware like RAID and Diagnostic LED. We also got a confirmation from Epox that the board can read the temperature from Athlon XP's onchip diode. The thermistor is used to read temperatures from older CPUs

BIOS and Overclocking
The BIOS has excellent memory tweaking options which will surely satisfy the most demanding users. Even the overclocking options are excellent offering high voltage options for CPU and memory, but novice overclockers should take care othewise they may end up with a dead system.

Performance
Performance on the 8K5A2+ rocked- it turned out to be the fastest board we've benchmarked in our labs for the AMD platform in all tests except one. Great job by Epox.

Stability
The board showed absolutely no signs of instability or incompatibility with any kind of hardware. We had it looping the 3D Mark demo for 24 hours and it worked beautifully.

Packaging / Price
Epox is famous for their kick-ass packaging and the 8K5A2+ is no different. It comes is a very slick box and Epox provides all the cables along with a very good user manual and a drivers CD with Norton Ghost and PC-Cillin- all at a very attractive price
