Twilight: Eclipse Teaser Trailer Released

After two action-packed trailers to Iron Man 2 and Tron Legacy, we had to get a sneak peek at the upcoming Twilight: Eclipse in a handy teaser trailer that’s more restrained than the teaser to ‘New Moon’ in terms of showing-off its major moments.

Fact: This same angle and expression was in a scene in 'New Moon'.
Fans will lap it up so skip to the next paragraph and watch the trailer. But as a skeptic, I have some questions. Wasn’t this supposed to be a more guy-friendly and dark film? The corniest lines in film history are still present. ‘I promise to love you every moment forever.’ Is this supposed to appeal to guys? And I don’t see anything dark here other than the sky which doesn’t help much. But there’s a brooding sense of danger in the trailer and this could be better than ‘New Moon’ thanks to a director who ‘gets’ vampires.
But then, anything would be better than ‘New Moon’. Watch the trailer below.

Audiences really love the Chipmunks. Fox knows that audiences really love the Chipmunks. For all those who walked out of the 2009 sequel wanting more, you’re getting it. In a whole new dimension at that.

Three Chipmunks. Three Chipettes. Three Dee (?).
20th Century Fox just announced that yet another sequel for the series will be coming. Titled ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D’, it’ll release December 16, 2011. No word on the storyline (ha!), whether the cast will return ($$$), or anything else.
But you can bet audiences will lap it up.

Not sure what the studio was thinking with this one. The upcoming Oliver Stone sequel ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps’ starring Michael Douglas and Shia LeBouf just shifted release dates.

The film, originally set to be released on April 23 will now release in the fall season on Sept. 24. , reports Variety. While the studio provided no apparent reason, Variety speculates that they may be hoping for a showing at Cannes this year before releasing it.
Strange decision nevertheless.
Moviegoer Stabbed For Complaining During ‘Shutter Island’

‘Shutter Island’ opened yesterday in UAE (review coming) and here’s a word of advice – don’t complain if you see someone talking loudly or calling. At least if this case is an indication, the movie probably gives you temporary bursts of insanity.

LATimes reports a dispute that ended badly during a screening for the film. At Cinemark 22 theater in Lancaster on a Saturday, a moviegoer noticed a woman using her cellphone and he complained about it. The women was with two other men and they left the theater together. But not for long.
The men returned back to theater and stabbed the victim. With a meat thermometer. In the throat. Plus, they injured anyone who tried to help. The victim is hospitalized with serious wounds. The best part? The men in question are still out at large.
If this was any other movie, this would be non-news. But considering the movie deals with an asylum for the insane, maybe there is something here? Previously, a man was killed during a screening for a movie ‘The Signal’ which deals with people getting insanity due to TV and radio signals.
Life imitates art, folks. Life imitates art.
