Looking at her quotes in the media from time to time (including dissing the director and comparing him to ‘Hitler’), we all should have known this was coming. And today, it did. Paramount has decided not to have Megan Fox back for ‘Transformers 3′.
Deadline reports that the decision was made by Michael Bay himself, who is removing her character Mikaela Banes from the movie entirely. He insists that the writers think “giving Shia [LaBeouf] a new love interest makes more sense for the story.” But you can definitely believe that her previous comments have something to do with it. There’s no news about the casting of the new love interest, although early rumors suggest Gemma Arterton is on the top of the list.
So what happens to Megan Fox now? She’s got ‘Jonah Hex’ coming up, but I doubt it’s gonna do her any good. The bombing of ‘Jennifer’s Body’ proved that she fails to bring men into cinemas. Maybe she’ll move on to smaller films and start from there? Time will tell.
