‘The Hangover 2′ is officially happening, as if we didn’t really know that before. But now the cast has signed deals to return. And the deals are sweet indeed.
Deadline reports that Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis are all returning for the sequel with a hefty paycheck of “$5 million against 4% of first dollar gross.” They earned less than a million dollars in total for the first film.
And director Todd Philips, who bagged about $40 million home when he agreed to forego his upfront salary for the first film in return for box office gross, is now returning for $10 million against 10% of the sequel’s gross. This alone proves that the budget for the sequel is at least $50 million.
The movie is set to shoot in November.
