Well, look what we’ve got here. Summit Entertainment is looking to film the final book in the ‘Twilight’ saga called ‘Breaking Dawn’ in two parts. And they’ve got three gold statuette winners in mind to helm it.

Summit Entertainment is looking at three Oscar winning directors to helm the final film. Want to know who? Sofia Coppola, Gus Van Sant and Bill Condon. Sofia Coppola directed the (great film) ‘Lost in Translation’, Gus Van Sant has directed many arthouse films (Paranoid Park) as well as Sean Penn’s ‘Milk’, and Bill Condon made the musical ‘Dreamgirls’.
Sofia Coppola would be the best choice for the job followed by Gus Van Sant, but I really doubt any of them would show great interest in filming the weakest and most critically panned novel of the series, let alone in two parts. But then again, the hefty paychecks can change many minds. Entertainment Weekly confirms that Gus Van Sant has been offered the role (no word on the results) but the rest are still unconfirmed.
