Robots doing ... all of this. In 3-D.
His own official website reports that the two big action sequences in Transformers 3 will be shot in Chicago and Moscow. Now they will have to come up with a lame explanation as to what robots are doing in Russia. I don’t see the ‘small’ here.
More news is that since he’s being forced by Paramount to go 3-D, he’s willing to test a few sequences with it. He said to the Starz channel:
“It’s a process we’re testing with some ‘Transformers‘ scenes. How successful it is with my movie in terms of a lot of real stuff coming out of the frame, real dirt, real complicated little particles coming towards the lens, because hopefully that process will work. I’ve seen some tests that look great on other movies. I just want to see how it looks on my footage.”
I’ll still bet over the fact that he’ll convert it in post to 3-D than shoot it natively. Also, he starts of well by saying T3 can’t rehash the old stuff, but then adds that new elements and ‘characters’ will be added.
More robots? Really? Help me, God.
