Things happen quick in the land of movies. After Robert Downey Jr. vacated the lead role of the comic book adaptation ‘Cowboys and Aliens’ for another round of Sherlock, all eyes turned to our beloved Bond.

Deadline reports that Daniel Craig has signed on as the lead to the film which is being directed by Jon Favreau. Craig is a good choice for the film if they’re planning to go for a serious adaptation but if their plan is one with some humor in it, I still believe Downey has the upper hand there. Maybe I need to see some comedic work by Craig to change my mind.
Anyway, the franchise potential here will keep him busy until the next Bond arrives in theaters.
