The recent bombing of ‘The Box’ hasn’t done a thing to Cameron Diaz’s status. With ‘Knight and Day’, ‘Green Hornet’ and ‘Shrek Forever After’ coming up, we can now add another project into the mix.
Variety reports that Diaz has signed on to the raunchy comedy ‘Bad Teacher’ written Gene Stupnisky and Lee Eisenberg of The Office. The plot revolves around a ‘foulmouthed, gold-digging middle-school teacher who, after getting dumped by her boyfriend, competes with a colleague for the affections of the school’s model teacher.’
We’ve yet to see Diaz in a good sex comedy after last decade’s ‘There’s Something About Mary’ and this might be it. It’s could to see variety in her roles. The Office is a hilarious show, so there’s a good chance this might actually be good.
