Hangover 2 Script Half Done And Not Set In Vegas

Just after the DVD of this years and Hollywood’s most successful R rated comedy of all time ‘The Hangover’ hit stores, director Todd Phillips is fueling talks about the sequel. In an interview with EW, he says he’s currently reached halfway through writing the script and won’t share a single plot detail. And it’s not going to be set in Vegas once again.

They owe me an explanation about the origin of that chicken.
What people loved about The Hangover was not Las Vegas or the bachelor party but these three characters. I think you can take those characters and put them in other situations, and you don’t need the sell of Vegas and a bachelor party and all that other stuff.
He’s right about the fact that the characters made the movie, but I hope he doesn’t forget all the zany supporting characters like Ken Jeong as the gangster that sealed the deal. And since the title is going to be ‘The Hangover 2′, it wouldn’t be such a longshot to assume that the plot will nevertheless involve a ‘hangover’?
Warner Brothers were game for a sequel even before the movie was released based on the ecstatic response at the test screenings. Although no actors have officially signed on yet, Todd Phillips assures us that the gang will be back for one more adventure.
I say, bring it on.
