Being one project not everyone has warmed up to, the upcoming remake of the classic ‘The Karate Kid’ (titled ‘The Kung Fu Kid before but changed back to the original) starring Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan himself could be a fun diversion if these pictures are any indication. We had a teaser image and set pictures before, and now thanks to People Magazine and Slashfilm, we have four new official images from the movie that hint that Jaden Smith can kick some major ass.
Directed by Harald Zwart (The Pink Panther 2), Jaden Smith plays Dre, a skateboarding buff who moves to China with his mother(Taraji P. Henson) for work reasons. There, he gets beaten up by the local bully but Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) offers to teach the kid martial arts and Chinese to defend himself against bullies in Li Quan Ha’s Fighting dragon school of Kung-Fu.
