A decade ago, teen sex comedy American Pie was released and literally changed the game and produced many copycats. Long after the series ended with American Wedding, we still get mediocre direct to DVD installments from Universal titled American Pie Presents. The last one was titled American Pie : Beta House and was mediocre by all means, and this year a new cast will lead American Pie : Book of Love. The trailer was released today.

After some uproarious attempts with less than successful results, they accidentally discover a legendary guide to seduction hidden in the school library. It turns out to be a rarely-seen, often-sought manual about the secrets to sexual success, penned by some of the school’s previous generations. But a few missing pages leads to hilarious surprises for everyone… including the alumni.

The new ones are very mildly funny and lack and sense of plot at all, although this one looks to have an interesting plot but shoddy production values. Sadly, Eugene Levy has no better roles to do.
