ME-Movies has merged with IGN Movies!

Back in 2009, we started ME-Movies.com with the hopes of providing great movie content for the Middle East region with reviews, news, features, premiere and ticket competitions as well as local cinema timings for all the cinemas in UAE. In the three years that followed, our site grew from just a small community to a site that receives more than 230,000 page-views every month and is on a rapid increase. We joined hands with even more local distributors along the way to get you the best of movie premiere passes, ticket competitions, DVDs and most recently Blu-rays to give away every week and our cinema timings have consistently the highest ranked pages on our site. Our next evolution has come. Me-Movies has decided to merge with the Movies section of IGN Middle East, opening itself to a much larger audience and giving us the resources to bring you a lot more content and giveaways.

So what’s expected to change? Our news stories and reviews are going to be moved to IGN Movies Middle East, where we will have most of IGN’s international content as well as a number of localised stories for you guys to read. It opens us up to a larger platform that spans across all of Middle East and not just UAE. As for our competitions and cinema timings, they will remain on ME-Movies for now and we will soon be overhauling the website to streamline it more to fit that content. You can access the competitions and cinema timings from IGN as well, and it will link back to here. Soon, we plan to expand our cinema timings from the UAE to the entire Middle East to truly become a movie-related portal for the region.

It’s exciting to see where this leads us. The guys behind the scenes are still the same and expect some great new features and localised content now that we have more of the resources to do so.
