First Look: Russell Crowe is Russell Crowe in ‘Noah’
Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic gets a first look, where Russell Crowe as Noah looks more or less like himself.
Since he left ‘The Wolverine’, Darren Aronofsky has been busy crafting his big budget Biblical epic about Noah and is now ready to share with thus the first official look of the film starring Russell Crowe as the titular hero. And yeah, that’s pretty much all we have from the image here.

The film also stars Jennifer Connely, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins, Logan Lerman and Ray Winstone among others. And from this image, we don’t really get to know too much about the plot (though we all really know the plot of Noah’s Ark). All we get to see is a gritty Russell Crowe looking more like himself than a transformed character. Though there’s nothing wrong with that, I was a little more excited when Bale was circling the role. I think Crowe shouldn’t be allowed to star in any medieval epics anymore, since all I see him now is either as Maximus or Robin Hood and he fails to break out of that.
Nevertheless, Aronofsky is an excellent filmmaker and I can’t wait for a trailer and the film itself.
