New ‘Dredd’ poster channels Daredevil
Judgement stands tall in this inspired poster for 3D reboot.
To forget the memories of the bad Sylvester Stallone version of Judge Dredd, the filmmakers behind ‘Dredd 3D’ are hard at work at providing the ultimate and true experience that is true to the character with their upcoming film. The trailer was interesting and the film got a standing ovation at its Comic Con screening which proves that it’s hit with the audiences. This epic new poster is pretty impressive.
The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One–a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge–a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.
Yes, the poster looks a lot like the poster for ‘Daredevil’ from eight years ago, but this one does it much better. Looking forward to the film, hopefully it will be a good adaptation.
