First Look: DreamWorks 2D/3D CGI hybrid animated comedy ‘Me and My Shadow’
Is DreamWorks giving Pixar a run for their money?
Yet another proof that DreamWorks is becoming more and more like Pixar in terms of innovation and quality. While there’s a debate between 3D animation of today and the hand-drawn animation of the past, the studio has decided to make a pleasant blend of both in their next film titled ‘Me and My Shadow’ which will follow “the world’s most boring human” Daniel (Josh Gad) and his excited but bored shadow wanting a more fun life (Bill Hader). But Daniel’s life is in danger due to events in the shadow world, which force the shadow to take control of his character and team up with him to defeat the shadow villain and save the world. Here’s the first look at the film.
The film sounds original and this hybrid clearly looks unique and brilliant. Alessandro Carloni is directing and the film releases on March 14, 2014.
