My reaction is

One of the funniest and successful comedies of the year was ’21 Jump Street’, and there was always talk of a sequel considering the amount of money it made and proved that Channing Tatum can be a comedic star as well. Now, we have details that the sequel could be shooting as soon as this fall.

Sony executive Belgrad sat with THR for an interview where among other things he revealed that Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall are writing the sequel to ’21 Jump Street’ right now and the movie could shoot as early as in the next few months. We don’t know officially what it’s going to be about, but the first movie ended with the hint that they will be going undercover in college this time around and that sounds like a pretty funny idea. One of the reasons they’re getting the ball rolling on this sequel though is Tatum himself who is seeing a huge career boost this year:

“There are very few actors … who can do romance, action and comedy. We’re in business with two of them, Channing Tatum and Will Smith.”

Would you see a sequel to the film?
