First Impressions
My reaction is

Marvel definitely had a lot to reveal at the San Diego Comic Con, starting off with their big new movie announced as people already guessed. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is now set for an August 2014 release date, and is a brand new film property which will be quite hard for Marvel to adapt into a film but it could lead to a very cool film.

As for the sequel to ‘Thor’, we now have an official title for the film which is ‘Thor: The Dark World’. Doesn’t tell you much about the film but it is a cool title nonetheless.

Even the ‘Captain America’ sequel got an official title as ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ which means that the story will be set both in the present and the past as per comic books. I didn’t quite like the first film, and here’s hoping the second film does better with the material.

Overall, Kevin Feige has a pretty good ‘Phase 2′ going on and out of all the projects it will be interesting to see how ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ turns out and affects the rest of the Marvel canon.

Thoughts?

Like you said, “Guardian” will be difficult to make into a
film, partly because of how few people know about these characters.  They will have to promote the heck out of it,
and make the story in previews simple and likable; at least, that is what I
would do.  “Iron Man 3” could be as big
as the “Avengers” from how ticket sales have risen with each installment.  Personally, I love going to see all of the
big comic movies in the theatre, like Thor, but I also love watching them on my
home theater, and my Dish co-worker comes over to watch with me.  Since I have Epix 1 in HD, I watched Iron Man
    2 and Captain America
again.  I get the best quality my theater
can produce when I watch Epix, 1080p, and that makes all the difference with my
    90-inch projector.

I loved the recent comic movies that were released.. Perhaps I am more aware of these characters and that’s why I simply loved them and can’t get enough of them..

However, it was difficult for some people to understand the concept behind ”Iron Man” , “Thor” and specially “The Avengers” .. I was reading a lot of tweets about how “The Avengers” movie was horrible and did not make sense, obviously these were people who had no idea who these characters were and what was the comic history behind it..  I personally saw it twice in the cinema!!

I assume it will be the same for “Guardians of the Galaxy” ..
Here’s hoping that the next movies to be released will be either as good or better!!
