‘The Dark Knight Rises’ runtime confirms a very long movie
Too bad we have to wait till Eid to see it.
It’s a dark day for UAE residents when it comes to Batman, because we will get it after a month long delay on Eid instead of the mid-August release everywhere else despite petitions to have the studio revert it. But we can have solace in the fact that whenever it do get to see it, it will be a satisfyingly long movie.

The British Board of Film Classification has released the official runtime of the film and it’s going to be a long ride – the film clocks exactly at 164 minutes and 27 seconds. For the math-challenged, it’s 2 hours, 44 minutes, and 27 seconds of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ goodness. We’ve heard reports before that the film will feature around 100 minutes of action scenes which was great but possibly troubling that the movie would be just an action ride rather than a story driven film, but this monster runtime confirms that there will be more than enough time for the story to be told.
To be honest, make the movie as long as you want to. It’s Christopher Nolan’s epic finale to the ‘Dark Knight’ saga and the more time it has to wrap up in the best possible manner, the better it is for us.
Cannot wait.
