‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ being partially shot in IMAX

First Impressions
My reaction is

A change in directors for the series is bound to bring a few changes, the first of which means that the series is going bigger than just normal cinema screens. Francis Lawrences wants IMAX.

Imax is to release Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on its super-sized screens on November 22, 2013. While the first film also released in IMAX in limited capacity, this time around there will be a good portion of the film actually shooting in that format which is always a better watch instead of just an upscale conversion.

There’s still a lack of casting details on the project except the fact that Philip Seymour Hoffman has been offered a role, but you can now bet the movie will look bigger if not better when it hits screens next year.
