Most crime dramas of this sort are rated R, which they should be. But 'Killer Joe' is rated NC-17 for extreme violence, which is a rating that is rarely given out. If that isn't enough to get your attention, reviews suggest that this is Matthew McConaughey's best performance so far. From the looks of it, the trailer looks excellent and different from other movies of this sort. Can't wait for a twisted story to play out.
