Disney officially announces ‘The Avengers 2′

My reaction is

If you haven’t seen ‘The Avengers’, do yourself a favor and watch it. It’s probably best this genre has to offer in a long time and we should all be thankful that the filmmakers cared enough to make such an excellent film. And if you have been following news or even common sense lately, you would know that after the box-office record breaking of ‘The Avengers’, Disney is working hard on a sequel. And now it’s been officially announced.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that Marvel Studios is developing ‘The Avengers 2′. There’s no news that director Joss Whedon would be back or not, but we can all hope that Marvel makes the wise move of nabbing him for the sequel. But it’ll be a while before we see the sequel, since next year we will have ‘Thor 2′ and ‘Iron Man 3′ and then followed by ‘Captain America 2′ in 2014. 2015 is a realistic date for the film, but could extend even further. It’ll be a record breaker whenever it comes though.

    The Avengers is an example of a perfect movie !
    I’ve been watching cartoons of these super heroes ever since i was two years old, it was awesome seeing it all come to life !!

    Didnt like it so much, was a bit too kiddie for me. I think Batman will kick the Avengers’ ass.

    Avengers 2 comes as no surprise considering the opening weekend take of Avengers. It was a thoroughly enjoyable movie, well written and directed. Excellent action sequences with a good dose of humour. I’m probably going to see it in IMAX too, Do we really have to wait till 2015 ??
