Ehren Kruger scripting ‘Transformers 4′, Shia Lebeouf confirmed to not return
Writer of the two worst Transformer films is back for the fourth one, Sam Witwicky isn’t.
After lying to us about his exit from the Transformers franchise after the three films were done, director Michael Bay trolled us once again when he was announced to be directing ‘Transformers 4′ which is apparently a reboot for the series. I don’t see how the same director can reboot the series, but let’s see about that. What’s disheartening for now though is that they’ve got the writer hired for the sequel who was responsible for the two bad sequels that followed.

THR spoke to Paramount group president Adam Goodman who revealed his plans for the fourth film and definitively confirms that Shia Lebeouf and his character won’t be returning:
The story is going in a different direction now. Ehren Kruger [who wrote the past two Transformers movies] is writing it for us, and we’re starting to engage, but I can’t say anything more.
So there you have it. A different direction I hope means for the better, because the series needs a reboot more than any other series I can think of. And I don’t even like the concept of reboots. Here’s hoping Michael Bay brings some flair from his dark comedy he’s shooting into the film.
