Jaden Smith might be a teenage assassin for Sony
Sony acquires young adult novel for him about “a brainwashed teenage assassin who starts to regain his emotions.”
After becoming a star with the superhit ‘The Karate Kid’ remake, Jaden Smith will next be seen alongside his dad Will Smith in M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘After Earth’. But Sony clearly wants to exploit the young actor for all its worth and they’ve set up a potential new project for him.

Variety reports that Sony is looking to acquire the novel ‘Boy Nobody’ by Allen Zadoff, which is about “a brainwashed teenage assassin who starts to regain his emotions.” It’s the first in a trilogy, with the character made for Jaden is a “young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.”
I don’t really see Jaden Smith as an assassin with a physique like that, but he has shown before that he has potential to break out of his range. I just hope the results are nothing like ‘Abduction’.
