‘Carrie’ starring Chloe Moretz releasing March 2013
Stephen King adaptation now has an excellent actress and a busy release date.
‘Carrie’, an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, isn’t something that you want to see remade again and again because it’s based on a theme that many films have sort of replicated in some way or another. Even ‘Chronicle’ that released earlier this year had something of an angsty teen goes wild theme that reminded me of ‘Carrie’ straight up. But the film is set for a remake now starring possibly the best remake choice of actress it could get – Chloe Grace Moretz. And now it also has a release date.

Coming Soon reports that “Carrie” is set to open March 15, 2013. Moretz is an absolutely fantastic choice to play the part and with roles in films like ‘Kick Ass’, ‘Let Me In’ and ‘Hugo’, she has shown that she’s one of the most versatile young actresses working today. I can only imagine what novelty she will bring to such an iconic role. Other roles are being cast right now, with Kimberly Peirce set to direct with a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa which will be a ‘more grounded’ story of an outcast troubled teenage girl who discovers that she has telekinetic powers.
What do you think of the project?
