Victory: Stallone reverts back to R rating for ‘The Expendables 2′
But does pissing off Chuck Norris means instant death?
When Stallone announced that the upcoming ‘Expendables 2′ will be rated PG-13 partly because Chuck Norris made this a contractual obligation if he was to star in the film, internet fans went into a shit-storm and deservedly flamed this poor decision for a film that’s selling itself as the ‘old school action movie’. Well, looks like the outcry has worked.
Stallone Zone reports the words of Slyvester Stallone himself that the sequel will indeed be R-rated:
“After taking in all the odd rumors and hearsay, EXPENDABLES II is an R.”
Now here’s the strange bit. There are no ‘rumors’ regarding this, since he was the one who said that the movie will be PG-13 in the first place. He clearly stated that the PG-13 rumor was true, so this can only be seen as damage control.
But who cares? We’re getting an R-rated sequel and that’s what matters. What do you think?
