While he's an excellent actor with work like 'Memento' as shining examples, Guy Pearce has never really seen the limelight the way he should have. The upcoming Luc Besson produced sci-fi actioner could change of all that, and the theatrical trailer for 'Lockout' which has him channeling 80's action heroes like Kurt Russell. And might I say, he looks extremely impressive in the role. The plot itself is sort of a sci-fi twist on 'Taken' and even Maggie Grace plays the kidnapped daughter once again, but I like the visuals here it seems like a fun film. Plus, Luc Besson almost never disappoints in the movies he directs or produces. At most, it'll be a good action thriller.
Plot: A man is wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. He's offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates.
